The apartment was purchased after the sale of a 25 sq m studio apartment, also designed and executed by Catalin Iftimi as owner, designer, and executor.
Catalin has been passionate about interior design and construction since he was young, and although he chose a different profession, he continues to furnish the homes of his family and friends or at least support them with helpful advice whenever he has the opportunity. He highly recommends the interior decorator course at Atelierelor Ilbah, which he also completed.
Located in Hils Residence Pallady in Bucharest, the 49.5 sq m usable apartment was purchased directly from the developer, equipped with sanitary ware, doors, and all finishes.
For this new home, Catalin created a modern concept with industrial style influences and dark color tones. We find several small areas of interest throughout the design, details that are both functional and aesthetic: a bar-type partition in the entrance hall, a zen decor that incorporates the radiator in the hallway; a black writing board on the refrigerator.
The focus was on furnishing the bedroom to ensure maximum relaxation and comfort for sleep, so the walls were finished in dark gray, and together with the dark-colored curtains, even during the summer when the sun is strongest during the day, it can create complete darkness in the bedroom.
The budget invested in the renovation is around 12,000 euros. The furniture was made entirely to order (Solutions Mob from Prelungirea Ghencea), and most of the accessories, decorations, and small pieces of furniture were purchased from DIY stores in Bucharest.
“Refrigerator combination Beko, ovens from Heinner, hob from Hansa, sink from Pyramis, Marbela sofa (with a night sleeping function) from Dumonde Sibiu (I am very pleased with its quality), coffee table and gray pouf from Jysk, mounted on a metal support made by me, the flower table in the corner is made from a clay pot from Ikea with a tabletop from a Jysk table that I painted matte pink (I put the table legs on the cabinet under the TV)” Catalin tells us enthusiastically.
