We still have very little time until we gather around the Christmas table with our loved ones and enjoy the delicacies prepared on Christmas Eve. We still remember from childhood when the table had to be decorated thematically, to match the decor in the house, with the decorated Christmas tree and necessarily wearing Santa Claus clothes: in white and red.
As we grew up, we dared to break these rules and now we can decorate both the Christmas tree and the table in our favorite colors. A truly special and refined type of table setting is one where we use as much silver as possible.
Since cutlery usually has the same color and plates are generally white, it's good to break the monotony of a silver table with a few turquoise or blue accessories. It's a very successful combination, especially if you have important guests. A sophisticated impression is guaranteed.
If you know that you will have a cheerful audience and very merry people around the table, enhance the atmosphere with a red and gold decor.
Napkins with cute messages, reindeer-shaped napkin rings, golden stars and holly wreaths sprinkled with glitter. Fun is guaranteed. Another successful color combination is green-silver. Our recommendation is to decorate the table with young fir branches.
If you have a rustic interior, a massive wooden table where your guests will sit, then don't choose glittery colors and rich ornaments. For an unlacquered wooden table, choose a red or white tablecloth, garnish the center of the table with a small natural fir tree, with three or four baubles in it, and balance it with two candlesticks at the ends of the table.
When you start arranging the decor, remember the basic rule: don't overdo it.

If you are setting a rectangular table, then do not use perfectly round ornaments. If you don't have any other type of ornament, try to arrange them linearly in the center of the table for a balanced arrangement.
