From a young age, many of us dreamed of having a treehouse, a secret paradise all our own or a place to hide from our parents, and many of us still yearn for it.
Interestingly, people in certain countries don't see treehouses as something exotic and unusual, but rather a concept that is part of their daily lives. For example, in New Guinea, the Korowai people live permanently in houses that are in trees. The suspended dwellings help them protect their belongings and food from animals or floods.
Fortunately, treehouses have become more than just fairytale ideas, and for those who want to relax and recharge on a unique vacation, architects and designers around the world have built some amazing treehouses.
