For this small apartment with an area of 30 square meters, the designers chose to make a few modifications to meet the beneficiaries' wishes. One of these was outlining a sleeping area, with storage spaces, and the arrangement itself being one that is bright and pleasant.
The entire process was a challenge considering the reduced dimensions of the space. To enhance the feeling of spaciousness and brightness, they thought of eliminating the wall separating the kitchen from the room. Since the wall was not a load-bearing one, this modification received the green light.
The arrangement was designed in a current style, with an emphasis on functionality and outlining the desired areas by the beneficiaries. Thus, in the space of the room, a glass partition was introduced which marks the sleeping area. For added intimacy, the entire space around the bed can be hidden behind a thick curtain.
Here, designers also provided a generous dressing room with sliding doors; one of them is covered with a mirror, which reflects light and creates the illusion of a larger space. A minimal bedside table and a lamp complete the specific bedroom decor.
On the other side of the partition, a living space was designed, with a sofa, floor lamp, and a few paintings meant to liven up the decor. For added comfort, the designers increased the surface area occupied by the window and outlined a seating area in the right of the loggia-type balcony, furnished with a bench.
The idea was to the beneficiaries' liking because it offers them a reading area but also a place to admire the view outside the apartment.
As for the kitchen, they chose a simple but pleasant approach. White predominates, appliances are incorporated into the furniture. In front of the window, they placed the sink, efficiently using every side of the kitchen.
To avoid excessively increasing the arrangement budget, they relied on creative ideas. They chose the table to be created from an old sewing machine; they kept the metal base and replaced the top with a square one, adding two chairs with metal backs. To highlight this small corner, a suspended light fixture was mounted which directs light towards the center of the table.
Practically, this dining area marks the transition between the kitchen and the rest of the room.
Trending finishes were used, such as metro-type tiles in the kitchen and bathroom or brick cladding painted white, around the bench by the window or in the hallway space to make a connection with the basic structure of the building.
In the bathroom, space optimization solutions included creating niches in the wall for storing toiletries and a suspended washing machine, positioned above the toilet basin.
