Reconfiguring a small apartment is often necessary to create the functionalities you need. And when I say this, I'm referring to those apartments with a single main room where you are forced to furnish both a living area and a sleeping space.
Depending on the surface area, you have the possibility of adding a bed, but most of the time the sofa is used as a sleeping bed. That's why, for today, I propose an arrangement of a 38 square meter apartment, initially configured as a one-room apartment and later transformed by the interior designer into a two-room apartment by adding a bedroom.
Open GalleryTo allow beneficiaries to enjoy the comfort of a bedroom, a new room had to be built, while the other functions were reconfigured for an efficient space division. As you will see in the photos from the photo gallery, the apartment was in a deplorable state, so the whole process was complex and difficult.
However, the result was worth the effort, with the beneficiaries being fully satisfied with their new home.
In the living area, a minimalist decor was chosen, where accent pieces are not missing, such as the false fireplace and the portion of wall decorated with exposed brick. Adding the sofa and a coffee table, decorative pillows and a rug thus create the idea of a harmonious living room. The predominantly neutral color scheme with white and pastel accents amplifies the small space of the room and gives it brightness.
The kitchen space was reduced with the appearance of the bedroom. Now, the cooking space is limited to a charming kitchenette arranged in an open plan, visually separated from the rest of the room by a bar. The 3 suspended light fixtures provide direct accent lighting, highlighting this function.
Built-in cabinets that house the refrigerator on one side and a worktop with a sink, hob and oven on the other make up the area dedicated to the kitchen. The solution found may seem cramped, but it suits the beneficiaries' needs.
The dining area is discreetly furnished with standout pieces: the design of the chairs (Panton model), the light fixture or the message on the wall.
