But when the dream is about to become reality, you find out quite quickly that it is almost impossible to have all the urban comforts you are used to in this temporary residence. The reason? In most rural areas of Romania there are no utilities.
Of course, this state of affairs should not change your plans, because for every essential service that the house lacks, there is a viable solution.
Running Water
Don't think you'll have to fill many buckets and cans to enjoy water during your vacation. If you want to improve your vacation home with a plumbing system, the best way to supply it is with a well pump.
The device uses a pump to draw water directly from the source and supply all the pipes in your home. If you are lucky enough to have a deep well nearby, then it is recommended to use a submersible pump capable of pushing water with considerable pressure, regardless of the floor on which the consumer is located.
Sewage
To enjoy sewage in your vacation home, you need to install (or build from scratch) a septic tank. Today, the most appreciated types of septic tanks are the ecological ones, which use anaerobic bacteria to decompose waste.
Although septic tanks are currently equipped with efficient drainage systems, emptying and revisions will still have to be done at regular intervals. Don't forget to carefully analyze the land where you are going to install the tank and make sure that all construction rules are respected so that the reservoir does not suffer damage.
