A new home, in a new building, completely finished, where some finishes were partially replaced to further personalize the space; this is the story of a studio apartment in Bucharest that was furnished over four months on a budget of 17,000.
“At the time the interior design project began, the interior finishes were installed in the space, but to personalize the home, some finishes were replaced, such as the kitchen tiles. Small green tiles, metro tile style, were chosen, which add a splash of color and vibrancy to the kitchen.”
The Cristina Micu interior design team told us that this was a construction site with a low degree of complexity, also considering the total area of the house, 44 square meters, and the lack of need for repartitioning.
The chromatic concept is based on neutral shades for furniture, light gray tones and colored details (blue bed fabric, yellow decorative pillows) which contrast harmoniously with the plain shades and the texture of the wood used.
Using black in the kitchen (on the area with the furniture line) brings a masculine air to the space and at the same time creates the illusion of a taller space.
The living room includes three functional areas: the living area, the rest-night area and the study area (with a generous desk and storage spaces).
There is no wall delimitation between the day and night areas, so the designers proposed a partial delimitation through a structure that serves as a bedside table at the bottom and continues upwards with wooden ribs.
For an extra touch of vitality and personalization of the space, wallpaper was used, both on the media wall in the living room and on the kitchen wall where the dining area is located.
The balcony space has been valued and integrated into the interior of the house; it "communicates directly with the living room, including additional storage through the two custom-made wardrobes, so that the space can be used to its full capacity.
