This project is a special one from Natalia's portfolio, being created for her daughter, a young, optimistic and cheerful student.

The 45 sqm studio apartment is located on the 18th floor of a new building and enjoys a spectacular view over the city. This feature was exploited by transforming the window sill in the living room into a comfortable and stylish bench, accessorized with exotic motifs recurring throughout the interior design.

The natural wood bench was custom-made at a local workshop according to the designer's sketches and instructions. Decorated with soft pillows and blankets, it created the ideal spot for enjoying a quiet morning coffee or reading and admiring the view in the evening.

At the base of the color palette we find pleasant shades of gray that create the optimal background for the exotic theme of the design, which is reflected in the strong colors used for the furniture (shades of royal blue, turquoise) as well as the decorations (the flamingo painting in the bedroom, the pattern on the decorative pillows and curtains).

The color accents create a summery, energetic atmosphere full of fun. Gold detail inserts highlight the blue and green shades and tropical floral motifs, contributing to the overall warm, pleasant atmosphere inspired by a tropical paradise.

By modifying the initial layout, an open space was created: kitchen with living room and partially open bedroom. The successful result of the redesign was based on the removal of unnecessary doors and the use of mirrors as a trick to visually enlarge the space.

Parallel to the desire to create an open space with a spacious living area suitable for relaxation and receiving friends, the young client also wanted a warm, comfortable bedroom and a separate space allocated for a dressing room.

The sleeping area is 9.5 sqm and is located in a niche created by the kitchen wall, while the spacious dressing room (4.9 sqm) was placed at the entrance, with a mirror-clad door facing the bathroom door. This mirror trick, besides its functionality, creates a pleasant overall effect.

The turquoise velvet sofa together with the bar behind it form the core of the apartment. The bar is a natural extension of the kitchen, having the same textured gray finish as the cabinet doors (with an industrial look); it creates a pleasant contrast with the intense shade of the sofa.

The large mirror in the bathroom amplifies the already generous space. The washing machine and boiler were concealed in a turquoise furniture unit. Partially enclosed by a fixed glass panel, the generously sized shower evokes an exotic waterfall.
