The hallway is one of the rooms we often choose to ignore, despite being the first point of access to our homes. And if we think about decorating it, a coat rack seems sufficient. The space dedicated to the hallway can offer us more decorating opportunities that can enrich the overall decor of the home.

Let's discover together some ideas on how to enhance it.

Opening the GalleryConsidering that the first place we come into contact with is the hallway, I recommend exploring bold ideas that will bring it out of anonymity. Photographs, or rather photo collages, represent one of the simplest ideas you can put into practice. For an extra effect, choose black and white photographs.

To create cohesion in the decor, choose the same type of frames, the sizes can be different; a touch of diversity is always welcome. A common mistake is insufficient lighting.

Being an enclosed space that receives very little natural light, make sure you choose a functional and efficient type of lighting; you can also use accent lights to highlight the space that includes the photo collage.

If the hallway in your home is long, take advantage of these walls and display paintings that you never found the right place for. They will surely bring you pleasure every time you return home. If there is also an intermediate hallway connecting the rooms, you can choose to decorate it with paintings. When I refer to paintings, I also include children's drawings.

The important thing is that their presence cheers you up.

The hallway is, in fact, a passageway between rooms, so its decor should be a continuation of the other rooms or at least a connection to their arrangement. You can use patterns and models that also exist in the living room or bedroom, for example. Colors create connections between rooms, so you can use shades or tones of the main color from the living room.

For the bravest among you, I recommend experimenting with intense, dramatic shades that will give the hallway a unique character.

If space allows, a bookcase will completely transform the hallway space, especially if we are talking about the type of hallway that connects the rooms. Still in the storage category, especially for those who enjoy a more generous space in the hallway, you can integrate a dressing-room type wardrobe to take over a series of things that you would otherwise have stored in the bedroom or, worse, in the living room.

If a wardrobe doesn't fit the dimensions of the hallway, opt for just hanging shelves or shelves, mounted possibly on a corner. A few decorative objects will enhance the aesthetics of the hallway.

Whatever your options may be, I suggest you explore any of the above ideas because the hallway deserves a fitting arrangement, and you deserve a special feeling every time you return home.
