The problem of limited space in our homes constantly makes us think about how to maximize the living area. The bedroom is one of those rooms, and we often wish it appeared larger. Here's what we can do.
Natural light is our most valuable ally. Allow as much light as possible to penetrate the interior of the room, making it appear larger and more spacious. Use semi-transparent curtains and remove drapes or consider eliminating them altogether.
Mirrors are a trusted ally for decorating a small bedroom. You can place them on wardrobe doors to reflect more space and natural light.
Avoid using dark or intense colors if you have a small bedroom. It will create an unpleasant, claustrophobic feeling and visually shrink the room. Depending on the size, you can opt for one accent wall with a bold color. Otherwise, use neutral, light shades that give the illusion of more space.
Less is more – the fewer furniture pieces and decorations, the better for your bedroom space. Maintain order and organize the space well. Also, choose furniture pieces suitable for your room size. Don't fill all the space with a bed that's too large!
As in any small space, use walls for vertical storage in your bedroom. Place the bed in a corner and tall wardrobes against the wall to allow you to store various belongings. A few shelves in a corner will also help you save precious space.
