Are you planning to replace your stove? Here's how you'll know if you made the right choice and what you need to do before using it.

1. Check if it works properly

Check the burners and heating elements, open and close the oven door a few times, make sure the power cord isn't damaged, there are no scratches, and nothing is squeaking. If your new stove was delivered to your doorstep, check all of these immediately so you can refuse delivery if something isn't right.

2. Read the user manual

These types of stoves have a lot of new features like ventilation functions, a booster for quick preheating, a rotisserie or grill, so it's important to read the user manual carefully to know how to take advantage of them. Check the manufacturer's website as well, where you might find video materials explaining how to use your new stove.

3. Clean the stove before using it

Use a cloth dampened with a little warm water to wipe away dust from the surface of the stove, the grates, and the inside of the oven.
