On March 26th, the newest location opened.5 more to go This location is situated on Pache Protopopecu Street, number 21. Just like the other cafe in Piata Lahovari, the concept remains the same: 5 to go Cafe where every product costs 5 lei!
5 to go is an innovative concept and style that relates to recent trends in interior design for the Ho Re Ca sector.
Project initiator Radu Savopol considered opening a minimum of 15 locations in Bucharest from the project's initial conception. Thanks to the positive economic results achieved by the 5 to go – Piata Lahovari location, the opening of the next cafe has been accelerated and two more contracts for new locations have been signed.
The design of the 5 to go Pache Protopopescu cafe took approximately two weeks, and the space fitting out lasted another month. Natural materials with raw finishes were used (for example: iron, concrete, stone, and Spanish-style tiles).
Most of the furniture pieces used to decorate the interior are handmade, designed and manufactured in the No9 Design company workshop. The remaining decorations were purchased from specialty stores.
Although the new 5 to go location is situated in an old building, it was very well maintained, so they did not encounter any major problems during the renovations. Through this refurbishment, we can even say that they added aesthetic value to the building and implicitly to the area.
Radu Savopol says that when he started the 5 to go project, his sources of inspiration were the establishments in San Francisco, which have a very welcoming and comfortable design.
Radu Savopol's primary profession is that of a designer.
He has 20 years of experience in the Ho Re Ca and residential design field, during which he developed numerous projects. His most well-known works include: Old Nick Pub Sinaia, Old Nick Pub Bucharest, Famous Club Sinaia, Fusion Music Factory, Cafeneaua Parcului, La Cafenea, English Bar - Hotel Pallace Sinaia, Nargilla Bar & Grill Unirii, Blue Caffee Lavazza, and Cafeneaua Regala Casino Sinaia, including 5 to go locations.
The location in Pache Protopopescu is 30 square meters, and the allocated budget is around 20,000 euros, excluding bar equipment.
When asked to describe 5 to go in one sentence, Radu answered as simply and naturally as possible: “Smile, there’s coffee!” A response that truly makes us smile.
This is a good slogan for a coffee shop that suits as a greeting for people who visit daily 5 to go. These are lively, dynamic people, connoisseurs of specialty coffee, connected to the new, and who appreciate the quality-price ratio.
