A synonym for relaxation and comfort, the bedroom is one of the most neglected rooms in our homes. A bed, two nightstands, and a wardrobe for clothes are not enough to say that we have decorated the bedroom. This space needs more to transform into that pleasant, quiet room that inspires a sense of well-being at the end of a day.
Here's what you can do to improve the arrangement.
Change the headboard. Instead of one made of plywood, which is banal and cold, choose an upholstered model. You will be much more comfortable in the evening before bed. For a pronounced effect, the headboard can be chromatically opposed to the shade of the wall or just a shade darker. A light source nearby will harmonize the decor even more.
More brightness. If your bedroom is a darker space than the other rooms, you can improve this aspect with accessories in light, neutral tones that will amplify the room. White bedding, colored blankets with yellow and decorative pillows with cheerful prints are just a few options to explore.
Adapt to the space. We would all like large and welcoming spaces, but most of the time our bedrooms are limited in size. Adapt the furniture and don't overload the space! You can give up on nightstands or a dresser, and you can arrange the wardrobes symmetrically on either side of the bed. Consider the option of having furniture made to order.
Pay attention to the bed linens. An abundance of pillows and a consistent blanket can work wonders in the blink of an eye for the overall composition without affecting your budget. Choose natural materials and stay in the same neutral color scheme.
Choose natural materials. Quality cotton sheets, warm duvets, and comfortable pillows are all small details that will positively influence your sleep. Add a soft, fluffy rug or carpet, maybe even a fur blanket during the cold season.
Don't ignore the windows either! Curtains and drapes dress the space and enhance the feeling of comfort, ensuring you the privacy you need in the bedroom.
Only warm light for the bedroom! If you feel discomfort every time you turn on the light in the room, change the bulbs. Choose a warm light with a temperature of 3000 K (check the packaging) for general ceiling lighting. Then, ensure standby lighting with table lamps or floor lamps. If you like to read in bed, consider discreet accent lighting so as not to disturb your partner.
