The polluting environment we live in obliges us to take measures and move towards actions that limit the harmful effects on the planet and indirectly on our health. The first steps towards this involve recycling. Here are some tips for efficient recycling.

Open the GalleryThe first step starts in our homes, among the things that unnecessarily clutter our pantry or closets. A careful cleaning and honest sorting will lighten your home and you may even make other people happy. Donate old things, clothes, and objects that you no longer use.

Although initially you might say that you might need them in the future, in fact they will accumulate year after year to your disadvantage. This includes furniture pieces for which you can no longer find any use in the household.

If you use a capsule-based coffee machine at the office or at home, recycle the capsules. You can use them in a fun way around the house through a DIY project, and the used coffee grounds can be used for practical purposes, such as in compost for potted plants.

When you go to the supermarket for groceries, choose a textile bag that you can use constantly. Avoid plastic bags, which although made from biodegradable material, the process itself can take many years, with the impact on the environment still existing.

Therefore, it is good to always have such a bag in your purse or glove compartment for unforeseen purchases.

Think about all the household appliances or gadgets that you use constantly. When the lifespan of one of them expires, choose to recycle it at specialized centers and not in the landfill. The same goes for batteries or light bulbs!
