Summer days are getting hotter and hotter, and we dream daily of vacation, the sea, the cool breeze, and the fine sand. Even the decor of your home can be transformed so that you can enjoy summer even indoors. Here are a few changes you can make:
White-blue stripes take us back to sailors and ships. You can choose to paint one accent wall in this way, in the child's room, living room, or even the bedroom.
We know that details make a difference. And in the case of a summer decor, the little things we choose will bring us closer to the summer season. Replace the books in your library or at least some of them with objects that remind us of the sea.
A few shells, a starfish, or a small arrangement with sand and shells that you can make at home will be enough to recreate a marine-inspired decor.
Think about any other accessories that remind you of the sea. Such as hats or beach bags. Visit antique markets because there you will be able to find various other objects for inspiration. You can then display them in a corner of your house, in the hallway, or anywhere else that inspires you.
Consider textiles that can help you recreate the sea-inspired theme. Cotton, linen, sisal are some of the recommended materials. Throws with white-blue stripes placed over the sofa or armchairs will induce a state of relaxation. You can match them with decorative pillows.
Another original idea is to create your own art forms with souvenirs brought from seaside vacations. You could make a collage with shells collected from the seashore, which you can then display on a wall.
Change the furniture on your balcony. Choose rattan chairs or benches and a table with a vintage look, possibly painted in a blue that reminds you of the clear sky by the sea. Decorate the table or windowsills with jars in which you pour a little sand, add a few small shells inside, and finally insert a candle for evenings spent on the balcony.
Ropes are an excellent method to replace handles. You can use them as towel holders in the bathroom. You can even use rope to hang pictures on the wall.
