Attic renovations always bring to mind bohemian interiors, creative spaces, meeting places for artists and more. Today we propose a dwelling that borrows from the charm of these stories, managing to place itself in the contemporary with a suitable arrangement.
The 70 square meters surface of this dwelling is generous for an attic, the living space being configured as a 2-room apartment. Stylistically, the designer opted for a minimalist interpretation, thus solving the feeling of oppression that a sloping ceiling can give you, but also the need for efficient storage and functional arrangement.
He used a lot of white, which he harmoniously combined with wood essences. Straight lines, smooth and glossy surfaces describe a contemporary arrangement that emphasizes the beneficiaries' comfort needs. The photo wallpaper and pop-art interpretations present as wall decorations bring an extra touch of personality to a space where too much white risks inducing monotony.
For each function, the designer has provided furniture solutions created on order according to his sketches. From the living room to the hallway and bedroom, the furnished spaces are coherent and surprisingly have many areas dedicated to storage; there is even a room arranged as a dressing room, with various bodies for the wardrobe or other more voluminous things.
The living area combines the functions of the living room and kitchen in a harmonious way. The transition from one to the other is discreet, the technical part of the kitchen being softened by the design of the furniture, very similar to that of the living room. However, the cooking area has all the necessary equipment, including basic appliances.
Glossy surfaces, mirrors and various lighting scenarios contribute to keeping the interior as bright as possible, compensating for the reduced number of windows, both in number and size.
Excellence is also the approach for the bedroom. The long and narrow configuration is a difficult one, but the solution proposed by the designer allowed the integration of a comfortable bed with a wide headboard that extends along the entire length of the wall. The upholstery next to the bed serves to fragment this length of the room and emphasize the bed area.
