Do you know those moments when you feel like changing something in your house, but you don't know exactly what? You don't have much of a renovation budget, but you feel it's time for a change. I want to talk about these kinds of ideas in this article, simple tricks that you can put into practice so that your home breathes fresh, renewed air. So, what solutions exist?
Open GaleriaPerdele and draperies. If you are no longer satisfied with the look of your curtains and drapes because they have either aged or deteriorated in one way or another, it is time to replace them with new ones. If when you bought them, you were in a hurry and chose a random model, be careful not to repeat past mistakes this time.
Choose carefully so that they match the overall decor, filter the light entering the room pleasantly, and most importantly, do not color it through the shade of the material. I wrote more about this subject here.
Wallpaper. No, it hasn't gone out of style, but rather reinvented itself. Want to change the look of a living room, kitchen, bedroom, or child's room? You can do this with wallpaper applied to one wall, thus creating an area of interest in the respective room. Adapt the wallpaper pattern according to the place where it will be mounted and, above all, be careful not to overload the decor excessively.
Here is a layout for inspiration.
LED lighting. Houses in Romania suffer when it comes to lighting. You can change this by adding ambient lights, such as a floor lamp in the living room or LED strips in the kitchen, for example. They will help you bring light to the countertop area (mount them under the upper cabinets and you will thus have better lighting for the entire kitchen). A small gesture but with a big impact for you.
Organize yourself better in the kitchen. Install a metal bar as a support for your most used utensils when cooking. Ideally, it should be mounted above the stove or near it so that you can easily access them whenever you need them.
Paint or repaint. Sometimes, all you need is a fresh coat of washable paint to refresh a decor. Change the previous color and the room will definitely look different. Maybe it will be the change you desire.
Mirrors. As I mentioned in many articles, mirrors are a very useful trick that you can confidently integrate into any space, not just small ones. They reflect light and especially give you the impression that the space seems larger than it actually is. If you want to get a double effect, choose to position the mirror so that it reflects the window and implicitly natural light.
Storage up to the ceiling. Since we mentioned small spaces, and a common problem here is storage, here's a more unconventional approach. Try a tall bookcase, almost reaching the ceiling, so you can store more. Valid for kitchen cabinets as well.
