Some renovations come with a variety of challenges. The story of today's apartment is one with a happy ending thanks to the team effort and professionalism of Diez Office, the architecture studio that handled the design.
Oana Vasile and Octavian Stanciu took over this project when some finishes had already been chosen and installed because the beneficiaries had started the renovation with another architect. In addition, the working time was reduced, as the project had to be completed in less than two months, the client being due to give birth.
Therefore, the challenge was to finalize everything in 45 days so that the family could move into their new home, considering that there was no unitary concept, the installations were not finished, the walls were not repaired, and some of the furniture had to be custom-made.
From the beginning, the chemistry between the two parties was an essential factor, the beneficiaries being receptive to the ideas and solutions proposed so that things would run smoothly.
Living Area
From 4.5 square meters, the kitchen now has almost 8 square meters; the worktop has been extended on several sides, and the refrigerator has been integrated in place of a remodeled wall for this purpose. Continuing the kitchen, next to the window, a dining area was set up with chairs, but also with a bench with double functionality.
Also in the living area space, a desk and a library were integrated, all on a single wall. Here we will also find a wall with exposed concrete and one painted black for writing on. The living room furniture was custom-made, except for the sofa from IKEA, the table from Ioooi, and the lighting fixtures from Semafloor and Kare.
