Living in 45 square meters often makes you feel suffocated. Small rooms, insufficient storage space, all make you wonder what it would be like to have 120 square meters at your disposal and indulge in a suitable arrangement?
To stop daydreaming, we propose that you follow the thought process behind the project of this apartment with a similar surface area, inhabited by a family with two children. They wanted a functional, airy layout, without complicated details or unnecessary clutter.
The living area was designed for moments of reunion and socializing, in short, for spending time together. Thus, the designer integrated a comfortable corner sofa and a large bookcase that also includes a TV area.
Also, around the window, two smaller units were built-in, intended for storing books and other decorations, while the sill was transformed into a small seating area.
Removing the partition between the living room and the kitchen allowed for a redistribution of the areas, making it possible to integrate a dining area, arranged around another window, with a solid wood table, chairs, and a bench with many soft pillows.
The room enjoys generous windows, which allow natural light to penetrate abundantly, and the predominant white color enhances the feeling of spaciousness. To the same end, sliding glass doors were chosen, which can be found in almost all rooms, except for the bathrooms. The effect obtained is an added brightness at the hallway level.
The kitchen was designed on two sides, with a main area and a secondary one, intended for appliances and storage. Here too, the furniture line borrows from the minimalism that we find in the living room space, with a simple, functional design.
An island-type kitchen unit plays a double role: for quick snacks, the bar area, and the cooking area, with a built-in hob and a suitable hood.
In the bedroom, the minimalist spirit of the arrangement is resumed. The central area is occupied by the bed, and around the windows, two units for books were arranged again, along with wardrobes for shoes and clothes.
