Living in small spaces comes with numerous challenges. A very small kitchen or the lack of a bedroom are just some of the inconveniences often encountered.
To manage the arrangement of such a space, you need to be creative and above all balanced so that you can live in optimal conditions and not feel suffocated by your own belongings. Proof that it is possible is right here in this arrangement of an apartment of approximately 30 square meters. Let's take a detailed look at how this arrangement was conceived.
Before the renovation, the kitchen was separated from the rest of the room. Now, it has been integrated into the living space of the apartment with which it forms a unitary area. The place intended for the kitchen has not been enlarged as you might imagine from this modification, but viewed in the context of the entire room, the arrangement appears more airy, and the tricks used amplify the space.
Glossy surfaces, mirrors, light colors, all fully support this effect. From the floor to the walls, the arrangement maintains a minimalist line, an airy, open, bright design. Lighting, colors and textures support the outlining of this decor.
Furniture is reduced to the essential, and storage spaces are creatively outlined. Avoiding the idea of a library in the classic sense, the designers opted to create custom-made modular units with open shelves while also integrating a radiator cover. All these are located under the window and describe a unified image of what we perceive as living room furniture.
The truly surprising part is the area dedicated to the bedroom. In this entire reduced space, the designers managed to outline such a function. The separation between spaces is done by a large sliding door. Moreover, at the end of the bed, wardrobes for clothes and a small niche for small decorations were arranged.
As you will see from the images, the whole space is narrow and small, but natural light, the mirror and the light colors create the impression of spaciousness. Excellent approach! It's a source of inspiration worth considering if you too are in a similar situation.
