For this 43 square meter apartment, the young beneficiaries sought Maria's help to advise them on creating a functional design where they would feel comfortable when they got home. Storage spaces, a kitchen with bar space, a comfortable bedroom and a suitable bathroom were their basic requirements for their future home.

Considering the wishes of the two, Maria proposed some modifications that would allow the outlining of the rooms and spaces specified. The walls that were not part of the load-bearing structure were removed to be able to reconfigure the new functions.

Thus, we have a new open-plan living room and kitchen, a welcoming bedroom, a dressing room and a small but efficiently designed bathroom. The result is a modern, functional space with accents of violet and yellow.

The resulting configuration is that of a 2-room apartment, undivided. To gain more space, sliding doors were chosen instead of hinged ones.

In the living room, the arrangement is airy and pleasant through the color palette used. The furniture pieces are few so that the space is fluid and uncluttered. A corner sofa, two poufs for extra comfort (which can also be used as a support, excellently replacing a coffee table) and a bookcase with asymmetrical shelves make up the living room space.

The transition to the kitchen is direct, the dining area being arranged by the window as a bar area. The two yellow Eames-type chairs manage to attract attention, being a kind of accent pieces that enhance this small function. Between the two windows, the refrigerator was placed.

The L-shaped configuration of the kitchen allows for optimal use, and the furniture units provide the necessary storage spaces. The hob and oven are built into the furniture, and the hood is freestanding. The front of the cupboards is yellow, while the worktop and ceramic tiles between the cupboards come in two shades of gray, darker for the worktop and very light for the tiles.

Also in the kitchen, the washing machine was placed.

The chromatic accents of yellow and violet energize the decor and give it a youthful, modern air. The colors communicate coherently throughout the arrangement, violet being present in various forms: sofa material, Roman blinds, blankets or the bathroom cabinet; similarly, yellow balances the cold tones and imprints warmth on the arrangement.
