The layout we selected today comes from Russia and proposes an ingenious solution for transforming a 55 square meter apartment into one with two rooms. Let's discover its story.
After purchasing the apartment, the beneficiary contacted Olga for the interior design project. She desired a closed bedroom with storage spaces, all without affecting the brightness of the apartment. It is important to know that, before the renovation, the 55 square meter space was actually a single room, without partitions, only the bathroom being delimited.
The re-layout consisted in creating a bedroom, a hallway with built-in storage spaces and integrating the kitchen into the living area. The challenge of the project was to bring natural light into the newly created bedroom. The solution found by Olga was as simple as it was efficient: integrating a false window into the partition wall that delimits the new room.
Stylistically, the client wanted a relaxing space, without furniture pieces that unnecessarily overload the space; the emphasis was placed on accessories, touches of color to enliven the ambiance. The base is neutral, with white and gray to keep everything as bright, fluid, and harmonious as possible. Mustard yellow and blue appear in various forms both in the living room and in the bedroom, bathroom or hallway.
The proposed approach is modern, with an emphasis on quality finishes.
In the kitchen area, space was optimally used through vertical storage. The furniture design leans towards a classic line, with milled doors and black handles. The approach is eclectic in expression, the decorative panels at floor level and the industrial-inspired chairs being proof of this.
For the bedroom, the layout focused on creating a functional and as bright space as possible. The false window (an alternative could have been a glass block) ensures natural light, and the chosen colors amplify the space; the same role is played by the stripes created on the wall with the bed. Blue accents color the room, inspiring relaxation.
