The design of this two-bedroom apartment in Shchelkovo stands out thanks to its visually impactful kitchen, the leitmotif of arches (present in all areas of the home), and the generous storage solutions.
We can easily find some of the beneficiary's personality traits reflected in the stylistic expression of the design.
Besides the chromatic concept, where dusty pink predominates among other candy-like hues, the main characteristic of this 56 square meter design is the creation of many storage spaces in a small area, probably the biggest challenge of the entire project.
Every cupboard and storage space has been carefully studied and implemented, being harmoniously integrated into the overall concept. Considering the quantity of objects and clothing items belonging to the client, discreet and elegant storage was desired, without cluttering the existing space.
The initial layout solution was modified to correspond to the new requirements of the project. Thus, the kitchen was joined to the living area, sacrificing one bedroom to obtain a larger space in the living zone.
Furthermore, the dressing area proposed by the real estate developer was eliminated; the architects opted for a balanced distribution of storage spaces throughout the entire home. Every available square meter has been maximized to ensure the necessary comfort.
Most of the furniture pieces were custom-made to fit perfectly both the available dimensions and the proposed concept.
The finishes used are of premium quality; the designers opted for washable paint on the walls (Designers Guild), parquet and porcelain tiles for the flooring, Mutina ceramic tiles in the bathroom.
The architects' team tells us that selecting the right shade of pink for the kitchen furniture fronts took a long time; several simulations and trials were made before approving the final version.
In the bathroom design, the client wished to replace the existing shower with a bathtub, which was successfully implemented. The washing machine is ingeniously concealed in a tall storage unit, which is extremely useful. We also find the continuation of the arch concept used in the mirror composition on the wall.
