For this project, the designers focused on a series of modifications aimed at transforming the functions of the dwelling. We are talking about a 2-room apartment with an area of 67 square meters, including the balcony. We liked what we saw in this space, so we are sharing it with you right away.
What is particularly striking about this arrangement is the brightness created by finishes, but also with the help of artificial lighting. Thus, the entire apartment is evenly lit, which makes it appear larger. Let's take a look at how the overall design and layout were conceived.
The living area includes the living room and kitchen, forming a unified whole in the arrangement. The kitchen was opened up to the living room (by removing a wall), so the room appears much larger and more coherent in its approach. The connection between the two functions is made through a dining area, which occupies an important place in the ergonomics of the arrangement.
The space is optimized to meet the beneficiaries' requirements, both in terms of style and functionality. The kitchen and dining area are important for this family, hence the opening of the room, but especially the emphasis on an arrangement that facilitates socializing and time spent together.
A lot of white, neutral shades and color accents, such as blue or yellow, which brighten up the space, were used.
The kitchen design reminds us of the Scandinavian one, with a lot of white and wood inserts (see the worktop). Metro-type tiles are often found in recent years' arrangements; their versatility makes them easy to incorporate into any type of kitchen. Here they are well integrated into the decor.
We recommend that you draw inspiration from this arrangement, which is as simple as it is elegant and modern. We really like the cupboards with glass doors, the design of the lower furniture units, as well as the black accents: such as the handles, sink, faucet or even appliances. Everything is designed to be compact but functional.
Appliances are built-in to create a necessary visual unity in open spaces. The floor tiles with a classic pattern mark the technical area of the kitchen. Moving towards the dining and living room, the flooring changes to parquet; thus, there is a visual delimitation of the two zones.
In the living room space, we found the mobile unit that includes the television very interesting. Having wheels, it can be moved wherever desired, thus increasing the flexibility of the arrangement. As for storage, the bookcase units bring to mind buffets in rustic spaces.
