The story of this apartment's design began in April 2021, when the owners, a young couple, decided to furnish and personalize their home.
Open Gallery The project (which lasted 7 months, covering everything from design to implementation) was taken over "at white," meaning all finishes were already installed, so Cristina Micu Interior Design team intervened partially with new finishes to accentuate certain areas in each room, using wallpaper and decorative paints.
Mainly due to the proposed finishes and the modern, airy concept, the 70 square meter apartment seems spacious, with each element having its well-defined place in the design.
The living area includes the entrance hall, the common bathroom, the kitchen and the living room, which communicate visually through a large glazed surface, with sliding doors and metal frames in an industrial style. The kitchen was designed as a functional space, with a correct flow of circulation, with many storage spaces, even up to the ceiling, but at the same time it is an important aesthetic component of the design.
About the kitchen furniture, the architects tell us that "the neutral white of the furniture stands out through the flat model of the suspended furniture bodies, indirectly lit by the built-in LED strip, and the wall cladding with quartz composite, along with the worktop with a wood texture, come to complete and create accents in the kitchen, against the neutral white background.
Accents reminiscent of the industrial style can also be found in the hallway where a black coffered ceiling with small spotlights was proposed. The contrast with the white furniture pieces with delicate gold accessories and the green velvet of the bench is extremely pleasant.
The chromatic palette used in this project is based on a lot of white, neutral shades, wood texture and color, all accentuated by strong colors that interrupt the monotony. The emerald green shade predominates, which we find at the velvet sofa (purchased from Rovere), the stool at the makeup table, the bench in the hallway, the sink in the master bathroom.
