Small apartments are a challenge for any designer. Every aspect must be carefully analyzed so that the final result is one suitable for living and, above all, offers the necessary comfort. This apartment decorated practically and cheerfully caught our eye because of the way every feature of the space was highlighted.
Having only 45 square meters, the apartment was divided in an efficient way. The sleeping area was well delimited from the living room by a curtain. A raised platform hides large drawers used as storage spaces, and the bed is located on top. On the side, a practical and useful mini dressing was inserted, also separated by a curtain.
The predominant colors are pastels well integrated into the white decor of the walls. The brick-like motif is interrupted in places by geometric designs and completed by graphics with an interesting motif. In fact, the geometric motif is also found in other parts of the apartment. In the kitchen, for example, the tiles follow a diamond pattern and a yellow-green color palette.
To avoid creating the impression of overcrowding, the rest of the elements are composed of white pieces: both the upper and lower cabinets arranged on a vertical structure for space optimization. The same goes for the side wall. Only the countertop has a wood-like structure and color.
The unique part comes from the other side of the kitchen: a mini-bar with the wall painted with chalkboard paint (on which you can also write) and two chairs in the same pastel colors.
The balcony is furnished as a small dining area and to contemplate the landscape. The seating area, made up of boxes used for transporting goods, is also an excellent place for storage. It was conceived as a continuation of the living room with a mini library for books, a few decorative objects, and plants.
The bathroom does not clash with the artistic decor. The tiles are decorated in a Scrabble style, while the black floor has the appearance of honeycomb. The yellow door in contrast to the black floor creates a special effect for the entire look of the bathroom.
