This loft is located in a historic building in a Toronto neighborhood, previously used as a warehouse before renovation. The architectural firm Rad Design was responsible for the project and we can say that the refurbishment of this space is as original as possible.
The design reflects the character of the new owners: modern, minimalist, airy and as welcoming as possible. Natural light is limited due to the lack of large windows, but this aspect has been compensated for by the white walls which amplify the space and enhance brightness.
Initially, the color palette chosen by the owners was darker and less welcoming. Rad Design's intervention brought the space to life through a replacement of the chromatic scheme and the addition of finishes typical of the industrial style, with the stainless steel in the kitchen area being an example of this.

For the living area, part of the unfinished brick walls was preserved. The texture of the brick, combined with the wooden beams and the metal skylight that crosses the ceiling, creates an industrial feel for the space.
The loft has two bathrooms, and their disadvantage is that they don't have windows for natural light to enter. The ventilation problem was solved with metal vents, and the walls were painted in colors that brighten the room. The color of the parquet flooring matches perfectly with the beams, giving the arrangement a more welcoming feel.
