Creative, original and full of color, this exceptional arrangement can be described in a house decorated with great taste, style and dedication.
The richness of textures rendered by the varied textiles and wallpaper patterns transforms this dwelling into one that is warm, pleasant, welcoming and cheerful. In every corner you look, you will find harmoniously integrated elements that manage to confer the unique and personal character of this space.
One of the main goals of the designer was to achieve a bright and spacious layout. Initially, this old apartment in Madrid was divided into several rooms which fragmented the living space and limited common areas such as the living room or kitchen. Thus, one room was sacrificed, widening the hallway, kitchen and living room which now includes a dining area.
To visually enlarge the space, the walls were painted white, and for the flooring, oak parquet in a light shade was chosen. Against this neutral background, a scenario of colors and textures was then built, where vintage influences and shabby chic come together to create a wonderful romantic decor.
Functionality has been maintained at all times for each area of the house. Thus, to avoid visually overloading the rooms, medium-height furniture pieces were chosen that meet storage needs.
If the living room is one of the rooms that captivates you at first glance with its beautifully defined dining area and comfortable antique-looking armchairs, the kitchen is truly wonderful. It is one of the most beautiful kitchens we have seen in interior designs.
We like the idea of shelves on which various baskets with plants or sets of dishes are displayed, as well as the choice of impeccable white that reflects light and makes it brighter, highlighting the overall decor. A practical idea seemed to us the cupboard inside which a washing machine and dryer were mounted, along with other specific products.
The bedrooms are bright and lively thanks to the chosen wallpaper patterns. They inspire comfort and well-being, relaxation. Fluffy textured rugs cover the rooms, increasing the feeling of comfort.
The headboards, blankets, decorative pillows, bedside lamps, bench at the edge of the bed, all have been carefully chosen, managing to outline this romantic ambiance that reminds us of French interiors.
