Absolut Ice Bar was created as a marketing campaign for Absolut Vodka, a Swedish vodka brand. The idea emerged in 1994 when Icehotel Jukkasjärvi, an ice hotel located in Swedish Lapland, hosted a temporary bar for Absolut Vodka. The success of the bar inspired the creation of a permanent ice bar in Stockholm.

Construction and design:

Absolut Ice Bar is built annually from approximately 5,000 tons of river ice extracted from the Torne River. Talented sculptors from around the world create the bar's design, transforming ice blocks into stunning sculptures, furniture, and decorations. The bar's theme changes annually, reflecting diverse artistic and cultural concepts.

The Absolut Ice Bar experience:

Visitors to Absolut Ice Bar enter a magical world of ice, where the temperature is kept constant at -5°C. They receive a thermal cape and gloves to protect themselves from the cold. Inside, the bar is illuminated with blue and purple lights, creating an ethereal atmosphere.
