Oranges and lemons are trees that besides the fruits they produce can also have decorative properties. They can bring a splash of color to any house or apartment. Being very easy to grow and maintain, they are an excellent choice for those who love citrus fruits and want to have some greenery in their homes.

Besides their decorative role, these trees come with the great advantage of being able to bear fruit at any time of year, especially if they are kept in optimal growing conditions. In this article, we will present an easy method for planting oranges and lemons, starting from the seed stage.

Step 1. After you have purchased the necessary fruits, oranges and lemons, remove the seeds from them. Seeds from two to three oranges and two to three lemons will be enough because not all these seeds will sprout and it is advisable to plant as many as possible.

Step 2. Once you have removed these seeds, you will notice that they are very slippery and have a white membrane-covering which is also impermeable. This will prevent water from reaching the seed directly until it rots, and the easy method involves manually removing the white coating.

Step 3. To remove this coating from the seeds more easily, wipe these small beans as well as possible, after which breaking the protective membrane will be very easy. Most of the time you will also see a little green there, a sign that the seed could sprout immediately.

Step 4. Now is the time to take a paper towel or any other napkin, in which you will put all these seeds. Lemons with lemons, oranges with oranges, to avoid confusion.

Put the napkins with the seeds in a plastic bag that can be sealed tightly and wet them well, then let the excess water drain. The bag will only have napkins well moistened with the seeds inside.
