We propose today that you find inspiration in this wonderful design by the team Miso Architects in collaboration with Alexandra Cosma from DAAC Studio.

Let's talk about a 60 square meter apartment with three rooms, a living room with an open kitchen and two bedrooms, plus an outdoor terrace.

What will surprise you about this layout is the bedroom with a suspended platform 4 meters high, an unusual detail for an apartment in a block of flats, as well as the access to the home which is not only via stairs but also through a lift that opens directly into the apartment.

If I've piqued your interest for more details, let's find out more about how the design was conceived.

Mihaela and Sorana informed me that the beneficiaries do not currently reside in Bucharest and that most discussions have taken place online, through the Skype application. Clients desired a clean style with shades of gray and small color accents, preferably yellow and red.

Based on these criteria, the architects proposed a modern, current approach with a Nordic spirit, incorporating a few traditional Romanian accent elements (see the living room rug).

The apartment receives a great deal of light thanks to its generous windows, which make the space appear larger. The furnishings are limited to essential pieces, maintaining a fluid and unified design.

The living area includes the living room and kitchen in an open plan layout, as well as a dining space. The white furniture unit plays a dual role, acting as both a partition between functions and storage space. The same functional zoning can be perceived at the level of the lighting fixtures through their positioning.

The kitchen's stone countertop stands out, along with the yellow sofa and the patterned motif of the traditional rug. The furniture was made by Movi Design, the lighting fixtures were purchased from Ioooi and The Home, the sofa is from The Home, and the chairs and coffee table are also from Ioooi.

Furnishing the matrimonial bedroom was one of the most challenging parts of this project due to the four doors (the one leading to the hallway, one to the bathroom, and two to the exterior, onto the balcony). The space was optimized by installing a wardrobe on the longest wall. The bed is positioned between the two interior doors, with a luminous nightstand on each side.

Between the two exterior doors, a low bookcase with a bench was integrated, creating a pleasant reading and relaxation space.

The second bedroom is distinguished by its height. Its design focuses on a two-level layout. The first level consists of a wardrobe for clothes and features a mirror under the stairs, while the second level is represented by a suspended bed, with easy access provided by a tiered shelving unit.

Facing the impressive tall window, a workspace was set up, creating a study nook.
