The apartment's design bears the signature of architect Jacquelyn Clark from Lark&Linen, who focused on creating a harmonious space based on neutral tones and small pops of color. Let's take a closer look at this apartment.
The living room, a generous open space, encompasses three fully functional zones, each well-defined within the room. The conversation area, dining zone, and workspace seamlessly blend together in the overall design. A black and white contrast prevails, pleasantly complemented by neutrals like cream and grays, as well as the natural hues of wood.
The entire space overflows with comfort thanks to elements that set a relaxing atmosphere: the sofa, armchairs, decorative pillows with various prints both on the sofa and floor, and the fireplace serving as a welcome accent in the design.
The space is bathed in natural light amplified by the power of white. The mirror above the fireplace plays a role in creating an optical illusion, reflecting light and expanding the perceived space.
The wooden flooring brings together all the elements and sub-functions of the living room, adding depth to the overall ambiance. The harmonious combination of colors and textures provides cohesion throughout the design.
Each zone is highlighted by specific elements: the dining area with a white table, black chairs, and a black sideboard; the white lighting fixture; and decorative paintings beautifully adorn the corresponding wall. The workspace is marked by black and white stripes and, most notably, an unconventional bookshelf made from pipes.
Industrial influences are found in many contemporary eclectic designs, serving as a defining feature of our times and successfully explored in designer decor. The same industrial detail can be seen in the conversation area's coffee table structure, featuring metal legs and raw wood with minimal finishing.
A different rug was chosen for each functional sector of the room, resulting in three types of material textures, ranging from rough to plush.
