Today's project is a special one, featuring a Parisian apartment with superb features and original elements.
The building in which the apartment is located was constructed in the art nouveau style, so the apartment also exhibits features of this architectural style. Designer Tatiana Nicol chose to preserve the specific elements, even highlighting them in an interesting way. Moreover, the entire design respects the initial structure of the dwelling.
The doors and windows have been refurbished and modern elements added. Noteworthy is the house's color palette. Although at first glance it may seem somewhat somber, the delicate shades of blue-green, combined with the wood flooring, neutral furniture pieces, and accessories change the perspective and offer a touch of warmth and pleasant sensation.
Accent lighting through lamps, sconces, and chandeliers greatly contributes to creating the home's light and mysterious atmosphere.
The rooms are not very large, but they are separated from each other by doors, with the exception of the living room and dining room which have an open passageway between them.
The living room decor appears slightly cluttered, but each detail marks the space in a pleasant way. We find rustic and modern influences, even vintage ones, with recycled wood elements present in every room. The Art Nouveau era mullions have been accentuated with silver through direct applications on the ceiling.
The lighting fixtures add interest to the room through lamps with abstract shapes; we will encounter them directly on the floor or in an interesting branch structure.
If we disregard the doors, the dining area would be an extension of the living room. Acrylic chairs, transparent as well as a blue chair accompany a rustic-style table, similar in structure to the wood flooring.
The bedroom is simply decorated, with the red lines following the undulations of the ceiling beams catching our eye. The black tiles from the hallway will also be found in the bathroom, creating a unique decor.
