Apartment in Cluj: Fresh Color Minimalism

Cristina Blaj, one of the designers we follow with pleasure, has created an interior design for an apartment in Cluj that caught our eye immediately. The apartment you can admire in the images above is located in the heart of the city, and its makeover took place this year.

The Galeria Apartment has a surface area of 63 square meters and is located in an old building. Its new look is minimalist, with a focus on design rather than functionality. Why do we say this? Because the apartment lacks a kitchen.

Indeed, the owner decided to forgo the cooking area, thus gaining more floor space for the other rooms. The client brief also mentioned a desire for a simple, minimally furnished interior with a sophisticated, modern, and surprising feel.

Cristina opted to utilize color play extensively to accentuate key areas within the home. Lighting was implemented using LED technology, and fixtures were strategically placed to draw attention to specific focal points within the interior. A significant portion of the furniture pieces are custom-made.

At povesteacasei, we decided that Cristina's home has two favorite spots. The first on our list is the bathroom. Tall, modern and very fresh thanks to the combination of red and lime green, this bathroom brightens every morning and gives you the boost you need. The second spot is the relaxation area.

A Japanese-style armchair sits directly on the floor, next to a minimalist lamp casting geometric shadows on the wall with a printed cardboard texture.
