Those who love to ride bikes and are looking for a place to socialize can now boast a new "headquarters" –Atelier Pinion. It is located in the Piata Romana area, Bd. Dacia number 23, very close to Bucharest's best cycling track, the one on Calea Victoriei.

I also paid it a visit and can say, as a passive cyclist, that it is the ideal place for socializing for those who love cycling but want to share this common passion with others. Atelier Pinion has an attached workshop where you can bring your bike for repair, and while you wait, you can enjoy a cup of coffee.

Alex Samoila, the owner of Atelier Pinion, gave us some details about the concept behind the project.

Atelier Pinion, in its bar format, has been open for over a month. The terrace format will open in another month, and the workshop itself, where bicycles are repaired, has been operating for about a year.

The layout features a large glazed surface, and to create a bright and warm atmosphere, light-colored finishes and poplar wood cladding were chosen. On the panel of one of the walls, there are engraved silhouettes of cyclists, inspired by the relief of the mountains, an element that is also found in the Atelier Pinion logo.

The interior design was created according to the plans and sketches of architect Alina Rizescu from the Rizidesign architecture firm. The challenge of the project was the limited space they had available, 30 square meters, quite dark and not very high.

The style of the arrangement, if we were to summarize it briefly, would be: an urban look, simple and bright, combined with the atmosphere of a mountain cabin. The people who visit Atelier Pinion are urban cyclists, regardless of the type of bicycle they own - mtb, citybike, fixie, road bike, cruiser or folding.
