This property occupies an Art Nouveau building in Barcelona's Eixample district and was fully renovated by the Ca SA and Margherita Serboli architecture firm to become a holiday apartment for an Italian family with a great passion for Spain.

The original layout and configuration of the apartment considerably reduced the space which was also poorly oriented. The client's requirements were simple: three double bedrooms and a home that would highlight the 1900 architecture of the building, combined with a contemporary design.

The lack of natural light led to a complete reconfiguration of the space. The original plan, with a fragmented appearance, was redesigned along transverse axes that organize the space into different zones.

To this end, some of the original features have been preserved, such as the windows with their original joinery and the Catalan vault ceiling, previously hidden behind a false ceiling, which now exposes its original terracotta finishes, typical of the period in which the building was constructed.

The palette of materials and colors used creates a dialogue that is always different, for each room individually, punctuated by elements such as wood and Ceramica livened by cheerful colors.

A Mediterranean-inspired atmosphere dominates the entire floor with a combination of light colors and simple shapes reminiscent of the original elements that decorated this space in the past.

Zone of Bedrooms It is delimited by the walls of the house's hallway, which are pink. White prevails inside the pink building, with pink being the color used to paint the window frames. The green shutters on the outside add another splash of color.

The bedroom doors and part of the wardrobes are made from the same wood which preserves the natural color of the timber.

The bathroom brings another splash of color to this design, with yellow chosen to cover part of the walls.
