Often, a renovation is the necessary step to change the atmosphere of a room. Although we might think that the bathroom is a small and insignificant room, its role is just as important as any other room in the house.
Renovation can prove costly, depending on what we decide to change. If we replace the bathtub with a shower cabin and move the sink and toilet, then costs can rise well above the planned budget. It's important to stick to our priorities and set realistic goals.
This was also the plan of the owners who decided to renovate their bathroom, keeping the sanitary installations in their original place, focusing on details that changed the face of the bathroom from a dark and outdated one to a much brighter, therefore more spacious and pleasant one.
The tiles were replaced with simple white ones, and the floor tiles were changed to a floral pattern, which brought more interest to the room. Instead of a shower curtain which would have made the space too small and claustrophobic, a transparent glass panel was chosen to separate the bathtub area from the toilet without overloading the space.
The old sink was replaced with marble, the thin, metallic stainless steel legs visually free up the space, creating the same feeling of a wider, airier area. The cabinet above the sink provides the necessary storage space, the mirror mounted on its door being a practical solution for keeping the walls free and uncluttered.
The bathtub was reconditioned, all stainless steel faucets having a slight vintage influence for an extra touch of style in the bathroom. Surely, an arrangement from which we can all draw inspiration!
