Do you have a favorite color that you'd like to integrate into your home decor, but are afraid of making a mistake? Let's see this arrangement with blue accents as a concrete example of how you can harmoniously insert your favorite chromatic in the space of your home. In addition, the furnishing solutions will be a true source of inspiration for any small space.
The apartment we are referring to was initially a studio, with a single main room. Wanting to have a comfortable and intimate sleeping space, the designers thought of a partition through which they created a new room. Thus, the apartment now benefits from 2 rooms, with a living room and bedroom, all in an area of 38 square meters.
Despite the new distribution of functions, the space maintains its fluidity and visual harmony through chromatic details and storage optimization solutions. The living room and kitchen form a single unit, with the dining area making a discreet transition between the two zones.
Considering the reduced dimensions, the furnishing follows a minimalist design, centered on functionality and efficiency of every available square meter.
Instead of bookcases that would have taken up floor space and visually overloaded the room, the designers opted to create niches within which they outlined various storage spaces, especially shelves for books or documents.
At the same time, these niches also play the role of partitions, on the one hand between the living room and the bedroom, and on the other hand, on a smaller portion, between the kitchen and the rest of the room. In addition, sliding models were chosen for the doors to the bathroom and bedroom with the same purpose of optimizing the rooms (conventional hinged doors would have taken up space).
Taking into account these modifications, the apartment seems very well optimized and above all airy; the only furniture pieces being the basics: sofa, table and chairs, kitchen cabinets, bed in the bedroom and wardrobes for clothes.
Along with small decorations and, above all, the blue accents inserted into the arrangement, the space gains personality and style. Encountered at the level of decorative pillows, upholstery of the armchairs, a few shelves and a wall in the hallway, blue becomes the central motif of the decor, which you can follow throughout each area.
