The 3-room apartment in a new building on Mircea Voda Street, Bucharest, with an area of 78 sqm plus a terrace, had a furnishing budget of 39,000 euros for the personalization of the spaces taken over from the developer.
Open Gallery Intended for the two daughters of the owners (who were about to move to Bucharest to start their university studies), the apartment has a youthful atmosphere and exudes optimism through its chromatic choices and textures.
The beneficiaries turned to the firm MISO following a recommendation from Delta Studio, one of their main suppliers. A major advantage of recommendations is that the owners had complete confidence in the designers' services, especially since they lived in another city and could not visit the construction site very often.
From the beginning, the beneficiaries dreamed of a modern, youthful furnishing while also being adapted to the needs of the two young students with different personalities.
The architects tell us how they took over the apartment "in a finished and clean state, with parquet flooring and white-painted walls, the bathrooms were finished and equipped, they only needed punctual modifications from us. We did not make any changes to the layout, the construction work involved only completing the electrical installation, tinting and painting the accent walls.
The entire furnishing took as its starting point the impressive wallpaper with flamingo birds in the bathroom. This pattern was also used as paintings in the small bedroom, becoming a leitmotif of the project.
The proposed finishes were carefully chosen to best enhance the existing space and give personality to each area. The two wallpaper models used in the furnishing were purchased from the Italian brand Wall&Deco through Elegance Decor.
The wallpaper with flamingo birds (specially designed for wet areas) colors the monotonous space of the bathroom, and with the help of the mirror it seems that the space is much larger. Through its 3D design, the living room wallpaper gives depth to the room; it creates the illusion that it masks a garden with exotic vegetation behind the curtain.
For the small bedroom, a decorative paint with an exposed concrete effect from Decora House was proposed. This contrasts harmoniously with the soft velvet drapery in a pleasant shade of dusty pink.
“The design started functionally from the need for compartmentalization and delimitation of the access area to the dwelling, which is directly in the living area and without options for storing outerwear and footwear.
