Creating a bright and welcoming living area was one of the most important requirements from the beneficiaries for this apartment's design.

After purchasing the apartment, the two young people didn't know exactly how they would approach its furnishing. Although initially they thought they would furnish it gradually, after the purchase they realized they didn't know where to start or what to use. They turned to a professional with whom they discussed their expectations and preferences for their new home.

The advice was helpful because they were able to put together what they liked, thus providing the designer with valuable clues.

This is how the design of this 2-room apartment came into being. The approach itself is a simple one, with minimal furniture, focused on the essentials. The living area is airy and bright.

The designer outlined a minimum amount of furniture for them, which the family can later expand by adding a medium-height bookcase or shelves to use as support for books or decorations.

The kitchen and living room form a single unit, the room being large and welcoming. In the cooking area, enough cabinets have been integrated to ensure sufficient storage. The L-shaped layout also ensures workspace on the countertop for food preparation and cooking.

The furniture design is Scandinavian-inspired, with fronts in a light shade and a white countertop. The window brings a big plus through the amount of natural light that enters the room. The hexagonal tiles that form the backsplash between the upper and lower cabinets add a touch of style to the decor.

The pendant lights above the table were something all three agreed on without hesitation. They saw them in a store and knew they wanted them for their home. From there, the designer simply selected a suitable table and chairs to complete the industrial design corner.

For the living room, the wall clad with panels similar to the parquetry creates a discreet nature theme, continued through the natural oak essence of the flooring or the color of the curtains. Plenty of light floods this space, and the furniture pieces with legs (reminding us of the retro style) create the impression that the space is airier.
