Having a sea view is a privilege. This is how this family felt when they decided to purchase an apartment to use during their vacation periods. Although small, it proved perfect for their needs.

The 38 square meter surface offers them the essentials for comfortable living during vacations. A major renovation was necessary to bring the apartment up to contemporary standards. Installations were modified, finishes were replaced and custom-made furniture was created to integrate into the dimensions of the space.

Because it is not inhabited all the time, a simple layout was desired, including the necessary functions: kitchen, sleeping area, bathroom and storage spaces. Practically, the areas are arranged one after the other due to the configuration of the apartment.

Natural light and large windows represent an advantage well utilized by the designer. A discreet chromatic palette is added in soft, warm tones that enhance the feeling of space and brightness at the level of the apartment.

Recessed spotlights arranged symmetrically along the entire ceiling manage to provide pleasant general lighting, while the visible LED strips in the kitchen area ensure discreet ambient lighting.

White, cream and beige predominate, and the textures of the ceramic tiles successfully complete the harmonious decor. Being an apartment located near a wetter environment, the parquet is efficiently replaced with tiles that imitate its appearance. The risk of deterioration is reduced, and maintenance is easy.

Each function is well highlighted, the delimitations being made with the help of furniture pieces. For example, the bar area separates the kitchen area from the living room, while the two ottomans outline the perimeter of the conversation area. Small decorative details shape a discreet personality for the decor.

The sleeping area is hidden; one of the bookcase units includes a fold-out bed, a solution chosen to provide extra comfort at night. There is also a built-in wardrobe in a niche, which ensures the family's storage needs.
