The series of renovations in Romania continues today through this project carried out by interior designer Cristina Micu Cristina Micu.

Let's Talk About the GalleryWe are talking about an 82 square meter apartment furnished for a young couple. The two wanted a modern, up-to-date space with plenty of natural light. One of the challenges of this project was modifying the wall between the living room and the kitchen. Although they liked the idea of a kitchen island, the two did not want a total open space.

The solution proposed by Cristina was to remove a portion of the separating wall between the living room and the kitchen, thus creating a connection between the two functions. The idea of an open space is thus preserved, the areas being delimited however by harmonious glass doors arranged symmetrically, the kitchen remaining closed. In this new context, a small dining area could also be integrated into the living room.

The overall design is airy and spacious thanks to the tricks Cristina has put into practice (mirrors for amplifying spaces). The entire apartment receives a large amount of natural light, which was a great advantage in shaping the decor.

The color palette is predominantly neutral, with pastel accents at the level of accessories; the same type of parquet was used for all rooms, except for the bathrooms. This resulted in a coherent, harmonious and above all unified space.

The furniture is minimal, with natural finishes, in the spirit of Scandinavian interiors. The Wall&Deco wallpaper in the dining area creates an accent zone precisely to highlight this small function within the living room.

The kitchen is also a very pleasant space.Although long and narrow, Cristina efficiently optimized the room, ensuring storage needs through a linear arrangement of basic furniture, complemented by suspended units on the parallel wall, the one common with the living room. Light finishes enhance the brightness of the kitchen and amplify the space.

A warm, comforting atmosphere was created for the bedroom using a neutral chromatic palette. The makeup area, accentuated by a vertical mirror placed on the entire height of the wall, along with small furniture pieces, are the elements that personalize the space. The wallpaper with the world map, also from Wall&Deco, comes as an accent zone intended to enhance the bedroom.

The hallway incorporates a generous storage area, the space being amplified by mirrors and the white color of the furniture. The centerpiece is represented by the bicycle wall, painted black with a chalkboard effect.
