A fireplace is a classic, elegant, romantic and refined element that gives a pleasant look to any room it's built in. If you decide on a fireplace but the space in your house doesn't allow it, we will explain how to build a fireplace in the garden.

The first thing to do to create an outdoor sunken fireplace is to arrange the concrete blocks from which the fireplace will be built. These must be arranged in the area of the garden or yard where you would like it placed to see if it fits the chosen space.

Use a shovel to dig around the concrete blocks arranged in the yard, then remove these elements to free up the work area.

Remove the grass from inside the circle and then start digging about 20 cm away from the edges.

For clay soil with inefficient drainage, dig a hole of approximately 5 cm in the center of the circle and put gravel in it.

Spread a layer of approximately 1-2 cm of gravel over the entire circular surface, then tamp down the whole area well.

Add another layer of gravel, tamp it down and repeat this process until you reach about 10 cm from the outer grass.

Place the steel ring that will hold the fireplace in the center of the dug hole.

Put concrete blocks around the ring and secure them well with a rubber mallet until they are leveled on all sides.

Carefully clean the placed concrete blocks, then apply a layer of concrete adhesive to them.
