What truly makes a coffee shop special? Clearly, the taste of the coffee. If we add to this a unique design, then the experience will be one to remember. That's why we chose to present you with some ideas used in the design of coffee shops around the world.
Don Café in Pristina, Kosovo is a unique space with an interior designed to mimic the shape of a coffee bean. Every detail has been carefully crafted to maintain the curved form of the beans. From chairs and tables to benches and lighting fixtures, everything reflects an authentic atmosphere.
The following bar used recycled materials for its design, particularly old doors and pieces of wood leftover from furniture manufacturing. The effect is great, especially when you discover the ceiling filled with pieces or even a whole door. Everything about this bar will intrigue you.
Origo Cafe in Bucharest deserves a place of honor in this ranking. The simple design will attract you with its originality and the rustic idea that prevails from the first steps taken in the cafe. The wooden beams have been repainted and incorporated into the new decor. The entire wall encompassing the bar area is a huge chalkboard where customers can read the menu.
The originality comes, however, from the coffee cups hanging above the length of the bar. The table area contains only one cup used for table lighting. Certainly an unforgettable experience!
D’Espresso, or how to feel like you're in a library when you come for your coffee. The walls give the impression of an immense library; the ceiling and floor are adorned with stickers shaped like books to continue the idea. An interesting aspect is that the lighting fixtures don't hang from the ceiling but appear to emerge from the walls.
Lounge Cafe in Bundang, South Korea operates on a similar principle, where you can combine two pleasures: reading and enjoying a cup of coffee. All the books are recycled, with the cover removed to enhance the mystery.
In Japan, there is a Starbucks with an interior that is more than interesting, perhaps a little "sharp." Approximately 2000 wooden sticks are arranged on the walls and ceiling; diagonal lines create fluidity in the space.
Fish Shack restaurant in Vancouver, Canada is unique due to the pallets decorating the walls. The height is considerable enough for the entire effect to be impactful. The bar is decorated with ropes to complete the establishment's marine atmosphere.
Perhaps the boldest cafe project is located in Melbourne, Australia. Here, at Baba Budan, you will find chairs on the ceiling designed to draw attention to the height of the space rather than its relatively small size for customers.
