With a single color you can change the entire decor! We know it sounds like a cliché, but look at this apartment! Isn't it amazing how blue enhances each room? But let's better see the project in detail.
Open GalleryThe arrangement was made by Maria, from the Marideco studio in Russia, for a young couple. Although the two-room apartment doesn't seem very spacious, the designer's solutions managed to transform it into a functional, modern and welcoming one.
To achieve this, several modifications were made, the most important being the opening of the kitchen to the living room. This created a more spacious and unified living area.
Stylistically, the two young people didn't want anything complicated. They opted for a current, modern design. Both love blue, so it wasn't too hard to choose the dominant color in the arrangement; we will find it both in the living room, in the kitchen, but also in the hallway or bedroom as a chromatic accent around which the concept developed.
The apartment is furnished with the necessary items, in the desire to obtain as functional spaces as possible. Since the budget was not very generous, most of the chosen pieces were purchased from IKEA. Overall, everything is outlined with good taste, the atmosphere being welcoming and relaxing.
In the living area we have a simple but efficient approach: a conversation space with a sofa and armchair, along with a TV stand. Although it's not visible in the photos, a workspace with a mini-library has also been integrated into this perimeter.
For the kitchen, the arrangement follows the same Scandinavian style line. The configuration and furniture bodies ensure storage needs and cooking spaces, with appliances being built-in. It is worth noting how blue accents succeed coherently throughout the living area arrangement, from the accent wall (where the TV is located) to the curtains, decorative cushions and small decorations.
Surprisingly, shades of blue were also used to paint the hallway. The white doors and furniture, as well as the play of mirrors and lights, make the space here not seem cramped or dark at all. Remember this concept!
