Parents with two or three children often face this problem: insufficient space, or rather rooms for each child individually. The only viable solution in this case remains a shared bedroom designed so that each child feels comfortable. It is not an easy task.

If the ages of the children are close, then they can play together, having common passions and interests, from toys to cartoon characters.

Such a space requires attention regarding its arrangement. Ask for the opinion of a specialist who can make a sketch according to your requirements and the size of the space.

In a small room, you can choose the option of bunk beds to save floor space, thus managing to introduce a desk as well. Drawers of various sizes can be mounted on the side of the beds and/or underneath for storage. For preschoolers, a table in the middle with two colorful chairs may be all they need to play, color or listen to stories.

In the case of siblings of different sexes, the problem can become more complicated; the bunk bed option can be changed to beds mounted parallel to each other or in different corners of the room. Again, size dictates how the final arrangement will look. The beds can be visually separated by various forms of partitioning, a screen, a higher headboard, a curtain or even a false wall.

The solution must be adapted according to the existing perimeter and the shape of the room.

Another slightly atypical but functional idea is that of a raised platform on which two mattresses can be placed. Drawers can be mounted to take over some of the storage space. Such an arrangement is suitable for teenagers, providing a relaxed, open atmosphere and allowing for increased mobility.

In addition to the furniture that will be integrated into this room, the decor and accents that shape the personality of the space are equally important for children. From wallpaper patterns and photo wallpapers with characters or scenes from cartoons, to stickers and many colors that stimulate imagination and creativity.

Choose together with your children the color scheme and any other elements that will bring the room to life. It is very likely that the walls will be quickly invaded by posters, movie posters, game posters or favorite images, so it is good to opt for a suitable paint.

Although sometimes ignored, keep in mind the following fact: children will invite their friends/classmates into their room and not into the family living room. This translates into a need for age-specific intimacy. Therefore, the decor of the room plays an important role for any child. Listen to them and involve them in the decorating process.

Respect their passions, hobbies and try to capture these things through the basic concept of the arrangement.

It is not an easy task for any parent, but with a little inspiration and creativity, beautiful things can be created. Follow the arrangements that we propose in the gallery above.
