When starting the redecoration process, one of the first steps you take is choosing the color for the rooms. Whether it will be a predominant one or each room will have its own color, what matters is the effect you want to achieve. The same applies when choosing the color for the bathroom. Let's see why you would choose one color over another.
The color often used for the bathroom is blue. Why? Because it reminds us of water, the sea and their relaxing effect. The shades of blue used also vary. Pastel shades are more subdued and inspire calmness, while darker shades are more dramatic and create a greater aesthetic impact.
Although less common than blue, peach is another optimal option for the bathroom. Peach inspires warmth and comfort, a pleasant atmosphere overall. This color offers good reflection for the skin; and since all bathrooms include a mirror that reflects surfaces, it's understandable why it's a good option to consider, especially for women.
Another color for the bathroom, just as restful and soothing is green. Even though it is a cool color, its effect is just as relaxing and pleasant.
Other colors such as yellow or brown are also suitable for the bathroom. They are natural colors that make you feel closer to nature, invigorating the atmosphere.
For a more eccentric decor, violet or mauve are the most popular options. They are intense and distinguished colors at the same time, perfect for a contemporary, nonconformist arrangement. The important thing when using them is balance and the colors they are combined with. White is a safe option as it will highlight the purple without being tiring.
A single color for a small space like the bathroom can be easily claustrophobic and dark, an effect that is not very pleasant.
