Bathroom design is not a simple project: the road from concept to implementation is long and full of challenges: material quality, efficient communication with the construction team, and decisions, big or small, that need to be carefully weighed. In a new series of articles, we present the most beautiful projects of piatraonline.ro customers.

Open Gallery Andreea Piti, a piatraonline.ro customer, designed the bathrooms in her family home herself.

She wanted a classic style and created a bathroom design starting from the overall style direction of the house: classic, simple, with accessories and elements to add charm to the spaces: “I did a lot of research, I saw all sorts of ambiances and the fact that I wanted natural stone led me from the start to this elegant area. After researching, I effectively chose what I liked, depending on the budget.

I also worked with a consultant from Piatraonline, I don't know how many times I was in the showroom,” says Andreea.

In the downstairs bathroom (for guests), Andreea chose to mount natural stone on the walls only halfway up and applied a patinated paint, inspired by Venetian style, to the upper part: “This bathroom is smaller, classic. I put furniture made of walnut wood and clad the wall only halfway.

The curbstone is taken as is (from Rock Star Construct) and above it is a border used for this type of delimitation" Andreea detailed.

What materials were used in this bathroom?

The floor and wall are clad with marble, the curbstone is of the Rock 3 type, made of Emperador and Burdur brown marble, to which an M1 baguette made of Light Beige marble has been added.

In the youth bathroom (the children's bathroom) Andreea opted for a shower because she found it more practical. How did she choose the materials? “For the walls I went for a lighter travertine, and for the floor I chose a darker colored travertine.

Vertically we have two mosaic pillars (I didn't want to make another horizontal curbstone) on two of the bathroom walls, in an area where they have a visual impact. It is darker in color and matches the floor.

For another bathroom, Andreea went for some impressive combinations of elements: “Initially I wanted to put a curbstone but then I decided to make an entire mosaic wall behind the bathtub, which turned out very nicely.” Moreover, Andreea searched for a long time until she found a Romanian company (Art Mobilier) from which she took the wooden furniture and the mirror frames in exactly the style she was looking for, most of the pieces having curved lines, antique finish, small carved wooden elements and gold leaf inserts, in an ambiance inspired by the Venetian style.
