Many of us can't even imagine a home of only 27 square meters. Architect Brad Swartz had the vision to transform such a small space into a perfectly functional home for a couple. And as we will see, functionality did not affect the design in any way.

The available space was a studio apartment with an open kitchen in the living room and a bathroom.

The ingenious placement of folding walls, which integrated a bookcase, television, and a work area (desk), allowed the space to gain a new dimension and separate a small but complete bedroom from the living area. In addition, the bedroom was built above the living room level, creating intelligent storage space underneath it.

Although the kitchen remained open to the living room, it was partially isolated by building a side wall which, at the same time, created a small hallway at the entrance.

The minimalist design, with white as the main color, allowed the architect to introduce a table behind the cooking area without visually cluttering the space.

Such arrangements demonstrate that lack of space is not always the biggest enemy of our home. We just need to find the designer or architect who can compensate for this lack through a plastic, dynamic and functional vision of the potential for transformation of the available space.
