To provide you with the best decorating suggestions and ideas, we are launching a series of articles today featuring architect Maria Romanescu, who will offer advice on various useful topics related to home decorating. Today she will be talking about how to decorate your bedroom on a reasonable budget.
The bedroom is the place where you retreat to recharge after a long day and, more importantly, the space you see immediately upon opening your eyes in the morning. We all want to start the day as pleasantly as possible, so let's see what needs to be done.
One of the most restrictive aspects (apparently) preventing us from redecorating is the budget. However, I want to show you, in my opinion, affordable beautification ideas for the bedroom. Moreover, with a little dexterity, you can implement them yourself.
Wall painting
The first thing that comes to mind is refreshing the walls. I recommend neutral tones, with two main directions depending on your personality: white/light gray paint for a bright space or, conversely, darker shades for a more dramatic effect.

Change the bed slats.
With a little imagination, you can create headboard panels from the most unexpected things. I'll share a few ideas:
A simple wooden panel, whether solid wood or OSB chipboard, will frame the bed excellently. For a pronounced effect, it can be in chromatic opposition to the wall color. A light source nearby will harmonize it even more.
Another ingenious solution is to use old doors as headboards. If you haven't already thought about where to find them, visit a flea market, you'll be pleasantly surprised!
